September marks the beginning of a new Season of Peace that leads us into World Communion Sunday, which will be celebrated on October 6th. We will use the five Sundays of September to explore five building blocks laid by God, through the prophet Jeremiah, in agreement to the holy message of love, repentance and reconciliation of God.
Now, I can only imagine what you are thinking. A season of peace? In the midst of this crazy, out of control world? Strange right? Well, here is my reminder to you. You don’t long for peace when you have it. You talk, learn and begin to crave and work for peace in the midst of chaos.
Come to church this Sunday,
and every Sunday, to learn how you can lay the foundation that will guide your
life, your family, and our nation to build “peace by piece” according to the
prophetic word of Jeremiah that rings so true in such a time such as ours.
