Tenebrae, which means "shadows" or "darkness," is a powerful and reflective service held during Holy Week to help us understand the depth of Christ's suffering and sacrifice. Through the gradual dimming of lights and extinguishing of candles, we will solemnly reflect on the betrayal, persecution, and arrest of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This tradition symbolizes the growing darkness surrounding Jesus as He faces Judas' betrayal, Peter's denial, the fear of His disciples, and ultimately His death on the cross.

Throughout the service, powerful traditional music from profesional trained  musicians (Chancel Choir, Soloists and Chamber Orchestra) will guide our reflections, deepening our understanding of Christ’s journey toward the cross. This worship experience includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion, bringing us closer to the heart of the Last Supper and the profound significance of Jesus' betrayal.

This service offers a meaningful way to prepare our hearts for Easter, helping us understand more of the resurrection and the hope found in Christ.
