Exciting news for our congregation! We will embark on a fresh sermon series, "The Celestial Attire," exploring Ephesians 6:10-18 for seven weeks. This compelling section of Scripture urges us to equip ourselves with God’s truth, safeguard our hearts against unrighteousness, journey with the peace of the gospel, defend with faith, be fortified by salvation, and wield the Word of God with conviction.
We will begin by drawing a parallel to David's refusal of Saul’s armor, emphasizing that David was already adorned in the divine armor provided by God. The message? We shouldn’t covet the world's protection but should fully embrace the divine attire bestowed upon us by our Creator. That’s the premise!
In the subsequent weeks, each piece of this divine attire will be examined meticulously. Drawing insights from the adventurous journey of the disciples as documented in the Book of Acts, we aim to understand the significance of every element and its practical application for our lives today.
The objective of "Our Celestial Attire" is more than theological enlightenment; it's spiritual empowerment. With this series, we aspire to equip you with actionable spiritual tools for diverse scenarios – be it with family, friends, strangers, or new acquaintances. Above all, let this be a reminder: You are beloved, so God has invested and foreseen every scenario that we might encounter. God has not just designed you for triumph, but God has also equipped you for it.
