Life often unfolds as a delicate dance, with our desires, expectations, and dreams ("Must Be") on one side and the unpredictability of reality ("Can't Be") on the other. This constant tension is an integral part of our journey. The good news is that in the midst of this dance, we find guidance in the timeless wisdom of Scripture.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) reminds us: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."
The graphic that I share with you today presents two interconnected circles that embody our aspirations and the limits of our control. These circles symbolize the crossroads of uncertainty that we often encounter in life.
Life's journey is a dance, with our hopes on one side and reality on the other. The "Must Be" and "Can't Be" circles represent this dance, and Proverbs 3:5-6 in the New Living Translation offers timeless wisdom to guide us through it with grace and faith.
So I will say, there are three things to remember and hold close to us:
Trusting God's Plan: The "Must Be" and "Can't Be" circles remind us to trust God's overarching plan for our lives. What may appear as setbacks or detours could, in fact, be part of a greater purpose that we may not fully comprehend at the moment.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Striking a balance between our dreams and life's unpredictability calls for flexibility and adaptability. We remain anchored in our faith as we navigate life's challenges.
Embracing Faith and Patience: The tension between the "Must Be" and "Can't Be" can test our patience. Yet, as we submit to God's plan, we learn to embrace faith and patience simultaneously, confident that God is leading us on a path designed uniquely for us.
At the end and as we trust... in the Lord with all our hearts and submit to His guidance, we find the strength to embrace both our aspirations and life's unpredictability. This balance allows us to approach life with a sense of purpose and resilience, knowing that God is leading us along a path uniquely designed for us.
