global missions

  • Operation Christmas Child, chaired by Gary Harvison, sends shoeboxes of supplies/toys to children in developing or war-torn countries through the Samaritan’s Purse organization. This year FPCE collected 47 boxes donated by the congregation. 
  • Heifer Project International provides livestock and small business training to individuals in Third World Countries. This year FPCE contributed $5,217 to this project. 
  • Presbyterian World Missions – FPCE donated $2,000 to provide support for the Rev. Jo Ella Holman in the Dominican Republic. 
  • Antioch Partners - FPCE donated $2,000 to provide support for Missionary Pam S. in Turkey
  • Presbyterian Disaster Assistance – FPCE contributed $2,620 to PDA. This year PDA provided help to over 24 states and 18 countries for natural and human-caused disasters including hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires, and mudslides. An additional $1427.00 was donated through One Great Hour of Sharing to support PDA as well as the Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. 
  • Over $1,200 was collected and donated to Watoto Ministries at the Watoto Children’s Choir Concert in January. In addition, several people signed up to be monthly sponsors. The Watoto Model is designed to provide vulnerable women and children in Africa with holistic care and to impact communities in the process. The model involves physical care, medical intervention including HIV/AIDS treatment, education (formal and vocational), and counseling as well as moral and spiritual discipleship.
